Now that PROTOTYPE is out of my hands, and I have no immediate deadlines looming on the horizon, I imagined a nice, long, peaceful vacation. And it’s the perfect time of year for that, because September is inevitably the month I end up with no creative drive. It’s probably all in my head, but I swear I’ve just been through the 3rd year in a row staring at a work-in-progress with no clue what to do with it.
I let out a sigh of relief when October finally struck. Thank God. I’m ready to get “my elbow off my forehead” and write. I’ve done what I can to keep the creative juice going: plotting a new series that I’m crossing my fingers will see daylight in the future. Then fiddling with a couple other possible projects that won’t, which is cool. Experimentation is fun, but I’m ready to get back to work.
Do you have that Dark period, or is it just me?
